About Darshan Kesar

In the late eighties a tour group from State Bank of India, Ahmedabad visited the beautiful VALLEY OF KASHMIR. Fortunately, myself was a part of this group. We got a golden chance to visit the fields of SAFFRON located in outskirts of PAMPORE town on our way to Pahalgam. Our local guide stopped our tour bus near these beautiful full bloomed saffron fields as this was the harvesting/plucking season of saffron flowers. The bunch of these flowers were attracting souls of every human beings with their fragrances and stunning view and feeling nature at its best.

In our country, different people practice different religions. Almost people from every walk of life use SAFFRON in their religious rituals and day to day life. Those days pure SAFFRON was hardly available in the market. Resultantly consumers were cheated by the touts across the whole country by supplying spurious saffron in the name of Pure Mongra. At once my conscience shook my heart and mind to serve the consumers by offering pure saffron at a reasonable price as a holly gift of the nature. GOD was great and I met a friend namely Shakeel Ahmed Mir, who was fortunately a saffron grower and a dealer from the saffron city of PAMPORE. It took me number of years for making my desire possible and in the year 2007 DARSHAN KESAR was formed with the motto to supply 100% pure and natural saffron to the buyers/consumers at farm rates .Purity and honesty paid us a lot during these years and made “DARSHAN KESAR” a fast growing company.

Last but not least, in this endeavour how can I forget those traders,friends, and family members without whose support and good wishes, this task would have been very difficult.

My lifeline like GURU,who persistently in his deliberations insisted people like me to go for BUSINESS instead of SERVICE, INSPIRED me a lot for this venture…!!!!!
